Houston, TX – Wesley Hunt won the Republican primary in TX-38 outright, winning 56% of all early votes cast. Hunt easily cleared a 10-person field to capture the GOP nomination and avoided a runoff. Presumptive GOP Nominee Wesley Hunt released the following statement:
“I am incredibly honored and grateful to the Republican voters of Texas’ 38th Congressional district for giving me the opportunity to be the Republican nominee in the General Election. The support our campaign has received since July has been overwhelming, and I cannot thank everyone enough for dedicating their time and resources to this cause. I am elated to accept the nomination for Texas’ new 38th Congressional district.”
Since launching his campaign last July, Wesley Hunt has raised over $3 million from over 26,000 individual donors, secured endorsements from numerous conservatives figures including President Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, Ambassador Nikki Haley, Secretary Mike Pompeo, and dozens of local elected officials and party leaders. Hunt also built one of the largest ground games in the country with over 100,000 doors knocked since November.
