Houston, TX –Wesley Hunt, Houston native, Army combat veteran, and Republican candidate for Congress, released the following statement on the horrible tragedy that occurred last night at NRG park, resulting in 8 deaths and more than 300 injured.
“Emily and I are incredibly heartbroken by the news this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the 8 people who lost their lives, the injured, and their families.
“We are also extremely grateful to all the first responders and volunteers who bravely rushed to the scene to help their fellow Houstonians. If not for their courage, last night’s tragedy could have been far worse.”
