| Houston, Texas – Republicans Lost Last Night — And Texas Will Face the Same Fate if the Party Sticks with Anti-Trump Candidates like John Cornyn. The Republican setbacks in last night’s elections were not a rejection of conservative values or the America First movement. They were a referendum on a failed strategy by GOP leadership that continues to force weak, establishment, anti-Trump candidates onto the ballot. For nearly a decade, Republican victories have been driven by bold, unapologetic, America-First candidates anchored in the movement President Trump built. Yet the establishment continues to push the party back toward the Bush-era brand of Republicanism that the base overwhelmingly rejected in 2016. One of the most glaring recent examples was Winsome Sears — a candidate who despises President Trump and ran with the same uninspired, consultant-driven messaging that has failed us for years. Voters saw right through it. She didn’t energize Republicans, didn’t win independents, and didn’t offer a compelling vision for Virginia. The result? Disaster.  If the GOP repeats this mistake in Texas by rubber-stamping another nomination for John Cornyn — a career politician who has spent years distancing himself from President Trump and the America First movement — we should expect the same losing results in the general election. MAGA voters will not turn out for John Cornyn. The message from voters nationwide could not be clearer: Candidates who reject President Trump, belittle the America First movement, or lie about their record to the tune of more than $40 million spent statewide, will lose.
