| Houston, Texas – This morning, an internal Hunt memo was released outlining Wesley Hunt’s clear path to victory and some troubling news for Team Cornyn. According to John Cornyn and SLF’s own data, Cornyn has lost ground in a three-way ballot since May. Even more worrisome, Cornyn has lost ground despite having spent $40 million to try to resuscitate his candidacy. In May 2025, an internal SLF poll had Cornyn at 34% in a three-way ballot. In October 2025, a public TSU poll had Cornyn at 33% in a three-way ballot. $40 million was spent in support of Cornyn between those two polls. To put this into even further perspective, Ted Cruz won his primary with 88% of the vote in 2024. $40 million has been spent trying to shoehorn Senator Cornyn into first place out of the belief that John, and John only, can win the general election. Yet in the last public TSU poll, all three GOP candidates were winning the general election against Collin Allred, with Wesley winning by the largest margin. John Cornyn’s “Failure to Launch” proves his campaign’s best days are behind him. He’s stuck in neutral — there’s no path forward, and 62% of Texas voters want someone else.
