After just eight weeks in the race, Jim McLaughlin, President Trump’s primary pollster, released a poll showing John Cornyn dropping into third place while Wesley Hunt gained momentum. After spending $70 million, John Cornyn is polling in the low 20s as the incumbent senator. For perspective, Ted Cruz was polling in the high 80s to low 90s as an incumbent.
