| Houston, TX – A new independent poll released this morning confirms what we’ve known all along: John Cornyn and his campaign are in third place and sinking into the teens. This polling confirms Hunt’s own internal polling, which has John Cornyn in third place. Three-Way Ballot: Paxton: 32% Hunt: 22% Cornyn: 22% Undecided: 24% Approval Ratings: Hunt: 34-14 (+20) Paxton: 48-35 (+13) Cornyn: 29-44 (-15) Once again, these numbers for the incumbent, who has been on the ballot in TX since 1982, indicate DOOM for John Cornyn. Even worse, John Cornyn has spent $60 million since July, and $20 million in October alone. Question: If John Cornyn is in 3rd place in a Primary, how can he win a runoff?
