Houston, Texas – This morning, Punchbowl News released a Polling Memo about the Texas Senate race, dated November 7th, 2025, that spells doom for John Cornyn and victory for Wesley Hunt. John Cornyn, SLF, and the NRSC have collectively spent $45 million to resuscitate Cornyn’s campaign, yet he now finds himself at 27%. In May 2025, SLF had Cornyn at 34%.
This new data shows that for every $6.5 million spent on behalf of Cornyn, he declines by 1% in a three-way ballot.
Three-Way Ballot:
Ken Paxton: 34%
John Cornyn: 27%
Wesley Hunt: 26%
Undecided: 12%

Senator John Cornyn has shown ZERO progress on a three-way ballot since March. In fact, the only candidate who has increased his ballot position is Wesley Hunt, from 13% in March to 26% in November.
Runoff Head-to-Heads:
Paxton vs. Hunt: Hunt 43%- Paxton 39%
Paxton vs. Cornyn: Paxton 46% – Cornyn 38%
Paxton vs. Hunt (Trump Endorsed): Hunt 54% – Paxton 27%
Hunt vs. Cornyn: Hunt 49% – Cornyn 32%
John Cornyn’s vulnerabilities are even clearer in a runoff, down 8% to Ken Paxton and a whopping 17% to Wesley Hunt. Remember, this is after $45 million was spent on his behalf!
Summary: Wesley Hunt is about to eclipse John Cornyn in a three-way ballot, and Cornyn is losing by almost double digits in a runoff matchup against Ken Paxton.
John Cornyn CANNOT WIN.
