Houston, TX – Today, Hunt for Congress announced that Wesley Hunt, Houston native and combat veteran running in Texas’ 7th Congressional District, raised almost $3 million in the third quarter. Hunt’s fundraising success as a first-time challenger illustrates the enthusiasm and momentum Hunt has in the 7th District, and outlines a highly competitive race.
“I am incredibly encouraged and humbled by the outstanding support our campaign has received in the 7th District. Houstonians believe in our campaign. They can see clearly our vision for a better future and they are taking action to make that vision a reality,” said Hunt. “Seventh District voters are fed up with the empty promises and partisanship from the incumbent; they are ready for new representation in Congress. To everyone who has helped us reach this milestone, thank you for believing in our campaign and for joining us on this important mission to restore leadership, accountability, and independence to the 7th District. We will continue to work every day to earn your trust and support.”
Wesley Hunt is a Houston native and a battle-tested leader willing to stand up for the 7th Congressional District. While his opponent Lizzie Fletcher made Pelosi Speaker of the House and refuses to condemn the most liberal of Democratic priorities, Wesley is a problem solver who will work with both sides to bring results home to the 7th District.
Hunt raised $2.5 million to Hunt for Congress with an additional $500,000 to the Hunt Victory Fund.
