Wesley Hunt announces $900,000 raised in 2nd Quarter

Houston, TX – Today Hunt for Congress announced that Wesley Hunt, Army combat veteran and Republican for Congress in TX-07, raised $900,000 in the 2nd quarter of 2020 and holds $1,000,000 COH, $200,000 more than Lizzie Fletcher had at this point in the 2018 cycle.

“The continued support our campaign has received from donors throughout the 7th District is an honor and a testament to the desire of this district for a representative in the House who stands up for our values and our way of life,” said Hunt. “In the past 3 months, we have seen Congresswoman Fletcher vote to give up to $6,000 to illegal immigrants, undermine our police officers and support the Green New Deal. Those votes do not represent this district and voters here are making that abundantly clear.”

In addition to establishing himself as one of Republicans top non-incumbent fundraisers, Hunt has gained the support of prominent local officials and built an aggressive voter outreach program that knocked on over 100,000 doors during the primary election.

Wesley Hunt is a Houston native and a battle-tested leader willing to stand up for the 7th Congressional District. While his opponent Lizzie Fletcher made Pelosi Speaker of the House and refuses to condemn the most liberal of Democratic priorities, Wesley is a problem solver who will work with both sides to bring results home to the 7th District.
