Our community mourns the death of Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy, Sandeep Dhaliwal. Deputy Dhaliwal was a ten year veteran, a father of three young children and a tremendous public servant.
During Hurricane Harvey, Dhaliwal helped deliver goods to first responders and traveled to Puerto Rico to assist a family known to the sheriff’s office.
Officer Dhaliwal was killed just a mile from where Deputy Darren Goforth was ambushed in 2015. Tragedies like these, which are far too common, underscore the vital role law enforcement holds in our community. Our men and women in blue are on the front lines protecting our neighborhoods, our homes and our families. They deserve our utmost respect and support.
