ICYMI: Wesley Joins Fox To Discuss Protecting Houston Energy Jobs

Houston, TX – On Saturday, Wesley Hunt, combat veteran and Houston native running to represent Texas’ 7th Congressional District, joined Fox & Friends to discuss the dangerous consequences of Joe Biden’s plan to end the oil and gas industry. If Biden’s vision of eradicating the oil and gas industry by the year 2035 is brought to fruition, the cost to Texas families will be devastating. The role of the representative of the 7th District, which encompasses Houston’s Energy Corridor, must be to stand between our energy workers and the destructive policies stemming from Washington. Wesley Hunt is the only candidate on the ballot who is up to the task.

“Last week, Joe Biden confirmed his plan to eliminate Houston’s oil and gas industry within 15 years. And unfortunately, our current Congresswoman will do nothing to stop it,” said Hunt. “Houston needs an advocate who will fight for our oil and gas industry and the millions of Texas families it supports. This isn’t about politics; it’s about preserving the industry that enables hundreds of thousands of Houstonians to put food on the table for their families and defending the source of our Nation’s energy independence. Through their hard work, Houston energy workers have brought our energy industry to unprecedented levels of affordability and efficiency, improving reliability while reducing our emissions. Unfortunately, politically-motivated Democrats are trying to mandate this critical industry out of existence, and my opponent’s record of siding 99% with Nancy Pelosi shows us that she won’t do anything to stop them. In fact, her only real action on the matter has been to give Joe Biden her unwavering support. Houston deserves better, and in Congress, I’ll be a tireless advocate for our industry.”

Wesley Hunt is a Houston native and battle-tested leader willing to stand up for the 7th Congressional District. While his opponent Lizzie Fletcher made Pelosi Speaker of the House and refuses to condemn the most liberal of Democratic priorities, Wesley is a problem solver who will work with both sides to bring results home to the 7th District.
